Walk off the winter blues with this guided amble taking in the wildlife and views of Astonbury and the surrounding countryside. The walk will start with approximately one mile on quiet lanes before crossing a field and taking in a loop of Astonbury wood. The route back to Aston village drops briefly into the Beane Valley before climbing back up to the finish at the community owned Rose and Crown pub. The walk is roughly 3.8 miles (6.1km) in length. The ground is expected to be very wet and muddy, wellies advised! This event is weather dependant, but even the best of weather in January can be cold and changeable, so please dress appropriately, and having a spare warm layer with you is advised.
