King's Meads offers a range of habitats which attract bats, one of our most common, but elusive groups of mammals. Using bat detectors, we will walk across the site's key habitats seeing the behaviours of the species found there, from pipistrelles darting in and out of trees, to larger Daubenton's bats swooping low over the water. It is the opportunity to see a fantastic site as night falls and encounter some incredible nocturnal wildlife. If we have time, we can look at what is active at night in the river. Wrap up if it looks cold, and bring a head torch and sturdy footwear.
Suitable for adults and older children.
