Too much sediment is bad news for chalk streams as it clogs up the gravelly bottom.

Become a citizen scientist and learn how to identify problem areas for sediment entering the river and how to record it. You will be able to see all the groups data on a map, which will help us identify problem areas.

From 10.20- Arrival and settle in - Tea/coffee etc

Tea, coffee, biscuits provided, but please bring lunch if you want. (There is a coffee shop close by and a co-op)

We will be walking to the river (approx 10mins away) - dress for the weather and bring suitable footwear for off path walking on potentially muddy ground. We may finish at an earlier time it depends on the group.
